Tiffany Hurt is going to Africa!!!

With your help of course!! She needs the funding to get her there by Tuesday!! Please contact her via Facebook to make arrangements or you can use my Paypal account and I'll make sure she gets it! Please visit the link on the left.  Be a Blessing to the children of Africa, even if it's only $1. I will keep updates of her trip!

I was recently invited to join a Missions to South Africa (June 8-19) with Children's Emergency Relief International (CERI)...I need $2309 for airfare by this tuesday...I have been focused on other projects, but this is another great opportunity to make a difference and Glorify God, so I DO NOT want this to pass me by without at least trying. I believe all things are possible and if everyone who reads this gives something, God will give the Increase. Please let me know if and how you can help! Thanks #Faith&Favor

SN: CERI is doing a great work literally ALL AROUND THE WORLD!! Like their page and go to cerikids.org to get more information about what they do and how you can join mission trips. --Tiffany Hurt via Facebook

On My Way

I’m finally making this wonderful spiritual journey to the Dominican Republic. I never thought I would be doing something like this, bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to these poor, beautiful children. As the plane lifted into the sky it made me recall all the times I’ve flown before to different places but never knowing where I was going really. I was always fearless and when it came to doing what I thought I wanted, nothing could stop me. Like a plane taking off in turbulent weather, my start in adulthood was extremely shaky and scary. Everything was dark and foreboding but still I made it through for this very reason, to live my life for Christ. I know now everything I have been through was preparing me and all part of a greater journey in my life. Sitting in this plane makes me grateful for the many second chances God has given me. I knew all along He was calling out to me but I just ignored Him because I never thought myself worthy or capable of being His disciple. After going through so many different difficulties, making so many mistakes I have learned the most important thing: hope gets you back up. Just having the slightest bit of hope always keeps me going. Having hope in God gets me through anything! One of the challenges in my life was having Scleroderma. When it was at its worse I thought I wouldn’t be able to enjoy a normal life let alone travel to another country!!! Having to be on oxygen is always very frustrating for so many reasons. I wasn’t able to take my portable tank for this trip and I’m glad I didn’t. I can’t stand lugging it around and being stared at. So I’m going on this trip with only my faith and my trust in God. Yes I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! No matter how tired I get I know He will carry me through it all. Giving my life to Jesus has been the best decision I have ever made. When I was younger and completely immature I wanted to do it all, travel, see new and exciting places, have amazing experiences but my way. I was able to do all that but I have a feeling it will not be anything like what’s about to happen this week. This is only the beginning! I am going to stay close to the Lord and let him take me wherever He needs me to go.

Passport is on its way!

Just went to get my passport on Tuesday!! More and more, this trip is starting to become a reality.  God willing we will go to the D. R. in July and teach His Love and Word to about 600 kiddies!  It seems a bit overwhelming but I know we can do it.  With our Faith in God, help from our families and friends, this mission trip will happen.  I still have around $500 left to save up for my ticket and expenses.  The rest of our church members may need more.  This Saturday we're having a Movie Night fundraiser as well as selling food every Sunday after church.  We are planning more fundraisers in the next few months.  I have my own paypal set up to accept donations if you are compelled to help me and if you would like to make donations for the rest of the members going on the trip, you can go to the church site puertaderestauracion.com and click donate.  If you don't have a paypal account you can click here to take you to the c.c. donation site.  Even if all you can give is a $1 anything will help! :)  Please be a blessing to our children's ministry by helping out and if you would like to learn more about our trip feel free to leave us your email.  Thank you for your support!  May God Bless and Keep you!

Love

Margaret

Bringing the Gospel to the children of the Dominican Republic!

Well I suppose it's my turn to do some traveling to share the "Good News"! :D  I never thought I would be leaving my beloved country (U.S.) to spread the Gospel.  Initially I thought I was just going to sit here in the comfort of my own home and try (what I thought) was my best to help others go on these amazing missionary trips.  God has called me to help my church's (Restoration Door Church) kids ministry go to the Dominican Republic to help teach a VBS (vacation Bible school) at our Pastor's mother's church.  This will only be my 3rd time teaching, my first time was last summer and I will be teaching again at my church this summer before we go to the D.R.  I still need lots of work on my Spanish and although I feel like I'm still learning the Gospel myself, I know God will show me the way.  I would like to ask anyone that's reading this blog to keep us in your prayers and if there is any way possible to send donations to our church.  With God's guidance I will try to figure out a reliable and safe way to make sure your donations get into the right hands so we can make this trip a success.  I plan to take lots of pictures and keep as much as I can posted until the trip and when I get back.  I don't think they have internet there. :(  Which is even better because I will see what it's like to be around REAL people and not just stuck behind a computer screen all day! ^^  Thank you for any support.  May God Bless and Keep You!

Urgent!! Please Help!!

Ileana is leaving very soon for her mission trip to Ecuador and she needs more assistance to finance her plane tickets/fees.  Any amount you can donate in her name will be very appreciated!  Please enter her pin # so that she gets your donation or you can make a general donation to help all the interns who still have much left to pay.  Along with your donations please say a prayer for Ileana and the rest of the interns who are going on this trip, that they get all the money they need to be able to make a difference in Ecuador and that they go there and arrive back safely.  Thank you so much for your donations and prayers!

God Bless!

Welcome to Missionary Depot!!

Thank you for visiting the Missionary Depot!  This an experiment that was inspired by a lovely lady and wonderful friend, Ileana.  I wanted to help her by spreading the word out about her aspirations of being a missionary for God's Kingdom.  She has been working diligently towards financing her first missionary trip to Ecuador via the Honor Academy.  She is always dearly missed by all her friends and family but we all know that her purpose from the Lord is much more important.  Please help us to see that her first trip will be a success and that she may have many more in the future!

Eventually there will be more links to other missionaries and if anyone wants to see their missionaries links on this page please post a link in the comment area.  Our primary goal is to see that the Good News is spread through out the world!

Isaiah 52:7

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
